Another school year has come for the children of Moyo School at Life Child Malawi. We completed registration last week with the children and their parents. We were so pleased with the passion of the parents. They have not always seen the importance of education for their children, but this year, their excitement was often undeniable. Parents came on the first day, telling us testimonies of how much change they have seen in their children, even through the holidays.
In Malawi, only 49% of students are expected to finish primary school (UNESCO 2014).
By providing preschool education at Moyo School, we help students build a strong foundation for school success. By helping parents see the value of their children’s education, we increase the likelihood that our students will be able to stay in school until they finish their education! So, we celebrate the involvement and excitement of our parents!
We are now done with registrations and ready to face the new year. We are happily reunited with our older children and we are now meeting the many new ones. We thank God for the amazing work He is doing at at Moyo School. We know that greater things are still ahead of us. To all of our sponsors, we identify with 1 Thessalonians 3:9:
