Who is Life Child?

Life Child is one of the social justice expressions of Life Church, and it exists to reach orphan and vulnerable children and restore communities for generational change, one life at a time.

There is a strong emphasis on working with children, families, and communities in South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, and Zimbabwe.

Transformational change is brought through Christ-centered holistic ministry. Operating through schools, residential villages, Early Childhood Development centers, Foster Homes, and a medical clinic.

Life Child continues to grow and has many plans for the future. We continue to add more classrooms, schools, and foster homes as the need arises because we want to make space for more children to be impacted, reached, and restored.

Beyond that, Life Child Gives Back was established as a vehicle for Life Church and Life Child to give back to the community in specific ways that can meet emergency needs and open new fields for the future. For example, providing support to the internally displaced people from the war in Cabo Delgado, Northern Mozambique.

How can you get involved?

On this special day, we want to use our voices and be a voice to the voiceless. We want to raise awareness about the work of Life Child with orphan and vulnerable children in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on child sponsorship.

Sponsoring a child makes a massive impact not just on the child but on their families as well.

One Life StoryMiracle Kambale

At Life Child, we are so excited when we get to see the impact on the lives of the children we serve. Miracle is one of the children who joined our Moyo Preschool in Malawi when she was three years old. She is the middle child in a family of three girls. We have seen her grow in all areas of her life. She changed from being shy, reserved, and unable to associate with friends, into a charming, intelligent, and sociable child.

When her father left the house, leaving them helpless, it was so hard for her mother, Tiyanjane, but God saw her and gave her ways to support the family. In our home visits, we helped her find faith and courage to move on for the sake of the children. She once said, “When I see Miracle, I see hope; the support she gets is what I could not have imagined.” She even saw how her other child, Glory, was also helped through the school. They received a quality education and were able to receive a daily nutritious meal.

She kept her faith and knew she had people around her to support her. Miracle has since graduated from Moyo Preschool to primary school with exceptional performance. She has greatly been impacted in her spiritual life. She can pray independently, recite bible verses, and share bible stories with friends. They continue to be a part of Life Church.
