ONE LIFE STORY – GLORY

Home / ONE LIFE STORY – GLORY

Glory, aged 6, is a lovely little girl who lives with both of her parents in Malawi. She attends Life Child Moyo school. Glory was enrolled, because her parents could not afford to send her to a preschool, due to a lack of adequate finances. Glory is a quiet girl; however, she does participate and does very well in class. She smiles a lot, teaching us to be joyful in every circumstance.

One of our focus areas, at Life Child, is to support the children with nutritious food where we give them daily meals, at the school. Currently, they are not getting the meals, but food parcels, because schools are closed due to the Covid19 pandemic.

The impact of the pandemic hasn’t left Glory’s family untouched. They have faced a lot of challenges like no food at home because they depend on the father to get work which he can’t find easily at the moment due to the pandemic. The mother is grateful and said, “We are so thankful for the food parcels which we are getting, they are really helping us to reduce the number of days without food”. It hasn’t been easy for the children to pass with the burden of having no food to eat.

The family has asked for prayers for open doors for work and business capital.

Glory has big dreams and would like to be a nurse when she grows up, so she can help others.
