On Friday the 8th August 60 children from our partner Vukuzenzele ECD Pre-schoolers were blessed as each child received a pair of shoes and socks from Fairtree Capital to keep their little feet warm and clean this winter!
Samaritan’s Feet, who provided Fairtree Capital with the shoes at a reduced rate, were on hand with the soap and towels for the washing of the children’s feet together with a little encouragement on the way to the washing stations.
The children’s feet were washed by teams and staff of Fairtree Capital and Life Child. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to sit down and interact with the kids as we washed their feet, just as Jesus had done for his disciples! Some were shy and others ticklish as their little feet got washed but all excited to receive their new shoes! Fairtree also blessed the preschool teachers with a lovely gift. An incredible sense of joy and happiness was shared by all who participated on the day, not just the children! A BIG thank you to Fairtree for all your support that you have given Life Child and for this incredible gift to the children.
