The smiling faces and waving hands were the outward expression of the sixty children, from our Life Child partner Vukuzenele ECD Pre-school as they spent the day at the Blue Train Park in Moullie Point! Arriving early, the children had a chance just to run on the freshly cut grass and enjoy the sunshine. Then it was their turn to ride the little blue train! With everyone tucked in safely and closely watched by the volunteers, they were off, singing as they went. They went round and round the park with its beautiful views of the ocean and the lighthouse.
They then alighted from the train and enjoyed a hearty lunch of hotdogs and other treats, served to them by the volunteers. It was then back to the excitement of rock climbing, monkey bars, swings and seesaws. The freedom to run and express themselves was a great sight to behold. The Life Child staff, crèche teachers and volunteers joined in the fun and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thank you again to all our volunteers who made this day special for the kids.
